BIS Production Partner takes over maintenance at Eka Chemicals AB, in Bohus
On January 1st. 2010, BIS Production Partner, Sweden West, took over the maintenance at Eka Chemicals AB in Bohus. The contract has a five-year duration.
The agreement comprehends all maintenance. Special projects and modifications are to be performed at agreed-upon cost-limits, or they are put out to tender. “We are, of course, going to compete for these jobs also,” tells BIS site-responsible Sven Arne Sætre.
The maintenance agreement is for Eka Chemicals AB’s seven locations in Bohus; four production plants, and three service facilities. BIS Production Partner will perform parts of facility-services at the location.
BIS Production Partner enters the Eka Chemicals AB contract with our maintenance concept, which we utilize at sites in Sweden and Norway.BIS Production Partner was awarded this contract in stiff competition with a competing company.
”Twenty-two personnel from the previous vendor have elected to join us”, says Sætre; “But we need a larger workforce and we are now in the process of employing. I estimate we will need additionally ten to twelve associates, depending upon finding the persons with the skills we require”.
