Maintenance contract for Elkem at Svelgen

In competition with four other suppliers BIS Production Partner acquired a maintenance contract with Elkem at Svelgen.

BIS Production Partner is introducing to Elkem our maintenance-partner concept. We have previously performed projects for Elkem, however, this is the first time we sign on to a maintenance agreement. This contract is therefore important for our company, says the operational director of BIS Production Partner West, Per Gullaksen.

The contract commences on April 1st, 2010, and has a duration of three years with an option for continuance for two plus two years. A transfer of operation from the INC Group will take place, and fifty-four employees from the INC Group will join our operation. BIS will take over sundry tools and equipment from the INC Group, says Gullaksen.
