Energy control/Lockout
BIS Production Partner carries out 3rd party verification of companies’ Energy control/Lockout systems. We have vast experience in the area of energy control system implementation. We offer courses and are eager to contribute towards system improvements.

Secure workplace
Rules and regulations state that workplaces shall be adapted to avoid exposing workers to any dangers. Dangers and risk analyses shall be charted. Appurtenant plans and measures to reduce the conditions of risk shall be implemented and documented. Documented safety training shall be provided for the use of work equipment that is deemed especially hazardous or which requires extreme caution when used. In addition, production equipment shall be furnished with clearly identified mechanisms for all types of energy lockouts.
Energy control/Lockout
This term is used within the BIS Production Partner system for the management of all energy supplies to production equipment.
Verification
BIS Production Partner carries out reviews of the unit systems for Energy control/lockout.These reviews are based on applicable Hydro Corporate requirements and Best Practice within Hydro Aluminium. BIS Production Partner is an authorised independent verification team leader within Hydro. Normally the verification process requires two to three days and the draft-report with improvement recommendations is issued before the verification team leaves.
Remember:
Machinery shall be safe during normal running as well as during maintenance and service operations!
Implementation/improvement assistance
We will gladly assist in evaluating plants, providing guidance, courses and practical training in connection with risk analyses, the implementation of energy control/lockout systems and the improvement of current systems.
