Maintenance Optimisation
BIS Production Partner has developed a method to optimise maintenance which is based on criticality. BIS Production Partner carries out complete analyses and delivers preventive maintenance programmes. The objective of the analysis is to contribute towards optimal maintenance based on risk and cost/benefit.
BIS Production Partner is a key maintenance partner in Norway, with customers in the rest of Europe too. We offer our expertise and our services to industry, power stations and the public sector in our primary fields of maintenance services, workshop services, refractory (industrial masonry), project design and modification plus advisory services and training. Our services are tailored to the customer’s needs and range from small one-off assignments to turnkey deliveries. Regardless of the scope, our aim is to contribute to cost reduction, increased operational availability and an enhanced level of health, safety and environment for our customers.
Best Practice
Throughout the years we have acquired experience from numerous maintenance reviews for different costumers. BIS Production Partner have developed a “Best Practice” for the execution of maintenance optimisation. Our objective is to contribute towards ensuring reduced maintenance costs, more effective maintenance and increased up-time on the sites.
Maintenance optimisation
Maintenance optimisation is carried out in three stages. First an initial analysis is carried out, followed by an RCM/FMECA and the development of a maintenance programme. The initial analysis identifies the critical equipment required to maintain function and production. Critical equipment is then analysed through a computerised RCM/FMECA tool. The results from this analysis provide input for a maintenance strategy that in turn will wind up as a preventive maintenance programme.
Work Processes
Work groups are established based on customer needs.The analyses are normally proven to be a rather comprehensive process using historical data and experience. Should this prove to be unavailable, experience and background details from BIS Production Partner’s databases may be used.
Analysis team
The team comprises individuals from the customer and BIS Production Partner alike.
Final report
A detailed final report is prepared which includes proposals for a maintenance programme.
